The 2023-2024 PW/Horizons Bible Study

The Power and Presence of Jesus Christ in Luke-Acts

This study invites us to consider Jesus, “the good shepherd” who shared the Good News through sacred encounters with everyday people. The Gospel according to Luke and the book of Acts, “one story in two parts,” demonstrate the unfolding of God’s redemptive purposes in human history and present a distinctive perspective on the person and work of Jesus Christ. Written by Luke, a physician and traveling companion of Paul, the message to the early Christian community (and to us) is radical, inclusive and hope-filled.

Our Leader will be Rev. Linda Gaden, Pastor of Bethlehem Presbyterian Church in Pittstown NJ and a former Moderator of Presbyterian Women in the (former) Newton Presbytery.

The full program begins at 4pm on THURSDAY and ends after lunch on SATURDAY. Registration and check-in will start on Thursday at 3:00 PM. The program fee of $50 is included in the cost and covers the leader, her room and board, and a copy of the study.
